Paulette Gharibian is a founding partner of Gharibian & Oliver, who has limited her practice to family law for over a decade. Ms. Gharibian has successfully handled high conflict and complex issue cases from inception through conclusion involving all aspects of family law. Throughout the years of her experience, Ms. Gharibian has represented entrepreneurs, entertainment executives, doctors, dentists, accountants, hedge fund managers, corporate executives, college professors, school teachers and their spouses. As a highly experienced family law attorney with a strong litigation background, she is tenacious in the representation of the Firm’s clients both in the courtroom and at the negotiating table.

In addition to her extensive experience in family law, Ms. Gharibian has also successfully handled a wide range of other complex issues including valuation, deferred compensation and pension issues (for public and private employees, both Erisa and Non-Erisa governed), real estate, motion picture, television and music rights, and Intellectual Property rights. Ms. Gharibian provides mediation services in her practice and has also served as a mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court, Chatsworth Division since 2006.

Ms. Gharibian also frequently appears as a television media correspondent on family law issues and high profile divorces. In 2011, Ms. Gharibian served as President of the Santa Clarita Valley Bar Association and she has served on the Board of Directors of the SCVBA for 5 consecutive years in various leadership capacities.

Education and Volunteer Efforts

Ms. Gharibian received her Bachelor's degree in English Literature, with a minor in German Literature, from California State University, Northridge. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law in May 2005, graduating Cum Laude, in the top 10% of her graduating class. She has served as a volunteer at the Domestic Violence Clinic in Burbank, California, and the Legal Aid Clinic in West Los Angeles, California, assisting pro per litigants with their family law and domestic violence related issues. Ms. Gharibian is fluent in Armenian, Farsi, and German.
